About BKD LTD
A Chelmsford company that builds homes and advises on how projects should be run.
Builders who also manage
BKD LTD is a private limited company with its registered office on Baddow Road in Chelmsford, Essex.
Our work covers two areas. We construct domestic buildings: new homes, extensions, conversions and renovations. We also provide management consultancy, helping clients plan work, control costs and organise the people involved.
The two areas support each other. Time spent on site keeps our advice practical, and a management mindset keeps our building work organised.
How we like to work
Honesty
We say what a job involves and what it costs, including the parts nobody enjoys hearing.
Quality
We build to the specification and to current building regulations, and we check our own work.
Reliability
We turn up when we say we will and keep you informed if anything changes.
Safety
Sites are kept safe and tidy for the people working on them and living beside them.
Build and consult, joined up
Many building problems are management problems: an unclear brief, a loose budget or trades arriving in the wrong order.
Construction
We carry out the building work with a defined scope, programme and price.
Consultancy
We advise on planning, procurement and delivery, for our own projects or yours.
